Grand-niece of Lady Felicity Brougham. Offered Kingsmoor Hall, Buckinghamshire, as the wartime home of the Society’s archive (1940–1945); supervised the moving of approximately 14,000 volumes over three weekends in autumn 1940, by a small team of Fellows.
